Vehicle Acquisition

Q:

How do I begin the process?

A:

You will need to contract the Senior Manager or P&D Manager at your terminal.  Once all approvals are given, your order can be submitted to ARI for New and/or Replacement units.

Is there a FedEx Ground / Home Delivery preferred vehicle catalog I can order from?

A:

Yes, please refer to menu item "Vehicle Selector".  This includes both the specifications and pricing (requires logon to obtain pricing and further details)

What is the price I will pay to acquire the vehicle?

A:

The price listed (requires logon) on the website "Vehicle Selector" for each type is the IC price and your net purchase price. This special pricing has been established for the contractor program. Any special incentives offered on the website are applicable for the time period noted.

I represent a leasing company or a bank. Can I purchase these vehicles for lease to my independent contractor customer?

A:

The vehicles represented on the website are available to any finance source representing an approved Independent Contractor for FedEx Ground / Home Delivery.

A:

Vehicle Delivery

Q:

How will vehicles be delivered to my terminal?

A:

Once all required documentation for the vehicle transaction is complete, and payment is made to ARI, we will release the vehicle for shipping. The vehicles will be delivered via a driveaway company.  The fee for the drive away service will have been included along with the price of the vehicle on your original invoice.  Including this fee on your original invoice will avoid any out of pocket cost for the Independent Contractor.

 Will my vehicle be Registered when I take delivery?

ARI can have your new vehicle delivered to you on a temp/transit tag and have all necessary documents forwarded to your finance source to handle the registration of your vehicle.

Or

We can have your new vehicle registered in route and road ready with the exception of Sprinters in select locations (inquire for more details).  There is a nominal doc fee plus all standard fees charged by the state where the unit is being licensed.

 

Q:

What is the average delivery time I can expect for my vehicle to be delivered and ready to operate?

A:

The delivery time is 7-10 days after payment has been received.

How do I warranty register my vehicle?

A:

Your new vehicle will automatically be warranty registered when ARI reports the vehicle delivered to the manufacturer.

Q:

What if I need to change financial information after my vehicle has been ordered?

A:

You or your financial source need to contact ARI as soon as the change occurs.  Depending on where we are in the ordering process additional charges may apply to have new delivery paperwork/affidavits processed and sent out to the appropriate parties.
